As Principal Harpist of the Philadelphia Orchestra for over 20 years, Elizabeth Hainen has earned an international reputation as one of classical music’s great harp ambassadors. Hailed by the Washington Post for her “unusual presence with silky transparency,” Hainen’s return to PCMS will feature members of the Philadelphia Orchestra as well as current and former harp students. Her insightful and innovative program reaffirms why the harp continues to fascinate listeners and inspire artists with its aweinspiring harmonies and ethereal beauty.
